Make sure your pets don’t have a ruff time with the best pet sitters in Leeds!
As much as I’d love to cuddle with my cat Mozzy and dog Bungee every day, I also need to leg it somewhere sunny. And when faraway beaches call, I have no choice but to leave the furballs behind.
I always hire a pet sitter who makes sure the babies are well-fed and loved while I take my sanity break. The catch is Leeds is full of options, and not everyone is up for the job. I’m not about to trust a rando with my two troublemakers.
That’s why I put in the hard yards to find the top of the pack. Of course, my team had to chip in, too—I’m not the only fur parent around. The search led us to the names below.
How much do pet sitters charge in Leeds?
Pet sitters in Leeds usually charge between £12 and £25 per hour. Overnight sitting is pricier, starting at £20 per evening, though prices are often negotiable.
1. Purrfect Sitters Ltd

Address: 49 Fawcett Ln
Contact Details: 07845 111500
Operating Hours: Daily – 6 am to 6 pm
Purrfect Sitters landing a spot here was no stroke of luck. For starters, they’ve been providing pet care services since 2008, this list’s second-longest tenure.
Communication is rarely a weak point, too. Every time I’m out for a week-long business trip or a month of jolly, they send pics and updates, which are reassuring.
Just know that they don’t do dogs. But if you have a cat, rabbit, hamster, fish, or bird, you’ll be sorted.
Prices also took a bump in April 2025. Nothing outrageous but still worth clocking.
Beyond that, they’re solid. Yvonne’s team is matey, although their true perk is expertise.
For one, the staff is trained for medical bits; if your pet needs meds or injections, they’re on it.
The ‘normality’ option is also class. It keeps your pet’s routine as close to normal as possible, be it through the same feeding schedule, usual walking routes, etc.
They Gave Us Brilliant Service
‘What a fantastic team Yvonne and her colleagues are! They gave us a brilliant service, professional and personal at the same time. Our cats are very shy and it was only the second time we’d left them, so it was really reassuring to get messages, photos and even a short video of our shyest cat allowing herself to be stroked! All communications were excellent and we came back to happy, settled cats, spotless litter trays and daily updates on how the cats had been. We’ll definitely be using Purrfect Sitters again, and we can’t recommend them highly enough. Thank you!’

Fantastic Service
‘Yvonne and the team were great! Alaska was extremely well taken care of while we were away. We received some lovely photos of Alaska – him getting some TLC from Yvonne and co made us and him so happy! 🙂 Thanks so much for the fantastic service!
We will absolutely use Purrfect Sitters again in future! xx’

2. Ellie’s Pet Care

Serviced Area: Leeds
Contact Details: 07716 402397
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Fri – 8 am to 6 pm
- Sat to Sun – 10 am to 4:30 pm
Ellie’s Pet Services is among my go-to picks when I need someone sound to look after my pup. Hard not to—Ellie has a 5-star rating from the Rother District Council and is a fully licenced dog boarder.
She covers a fair whack, too. Homeboarding, nail clipping, and providing bespoke nutritious meals are just half of her services.
What’s more, she uses an emmi-ultrasonic toothbrush for breath freshening. That means your pet won’t be mithered by vibrations or noise.
Then there’s her enclosed garden, which is spacious and always tidy. Inside is just as good, with loads of beds for rest and toys for playtime.
However, Ellie is a one-woman show, so limited availability is something you might deal with. Also, the prices are a tad higher than Leeds’ rates, but for the quality, it’s fair dos.
On the upside, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs are welcome, too.
Genuinely a Nice Person
‘Ellie delivers the best dog walking service for our miniature dachshund, Rolo. Ellie is very polite, always on time, and genuinely a nice person to deal with. This makes the process of trusting someone walking our dog a lot easier and Rolo loves his walks with her every time.’
– Aaron Rowley, Google Review
Very Reliable
‘Ellie has been amazing with my reactive cockapoo, he doesn’t trust new people easily and Ellie really made the effort to spend time with my dog to get to know him before taking him out on walks. Ellie also takes on board any training requirements that need to be implemented whilst out on walks which is so important with a reactive pup. Now Ellie is part of his small trusted inner circle and he loves his walks with her! She is very reliable and a lovely person, thank you Ellie! Xx’

3. Furry Friends Pet Care

Address: 10 Stoneleigh Ln
Contact Details: 07736 432888
Operating Hours: Daily – 24 hours
We’ve hired Furry Friends Pet Care, so we have personal experience to bank on for this entry.
One thing that kept us legging back was their bespoke approach. The sitters worked around our pets’ usual routine—walks, feeds, the lot—so there was no stress caused by sudden changes.
New puppy owners also rate their ‘Puppy Visit’ option highly. If you have a newly welcomed pooch, Furry Friends will nip over or stay to ensure they’re entertained and well-fed.
The free, no-obligation meeting is mint as well, especially for discerning owners. They’ll turn up with police references, police checks, and insurance docs so you can suss details before booking.
Prices double on bank holidays, though. Additionally, it’s best to get in sharpish, as their slots fill up fast.
Other than that, they’re worth a crack. Another reason is their trial on dog boarding services, which is top for testing if your pet gets along with theirs.
Great Communication and Flexibility
‘I’ve been using Furry Friends for nearly 3 years now for daily walks for my golden retriever. The service has been 100% reliable, with great communication and flexibility but, most importantly, the love and care all of the team show the dogs is reassuring as you know you’re leaving your dog in safe hands. I love to see the photos from the walks on Facebook as it gives you a glimpse into the fun the dogs have together on the walks and why Betty comes back so shattered and sleeps for the rest of the afternoon. I couldn’t recommend the service or the team members more. Definitely 5 stars and a big thank you from us!’

Excellent and Professional
‘Furry Friends Pet Care provides an excellent and professional service which is reliable and realistically priced. Both the dog walking and boarding is consistently caring with a team of lovely people. I highly recommend Furry Friends after many years of using their services. Sam runs an excellent pet care company and the dogs absolutely love their safe walks.
Thank you to Furry Friends Pet Care for looking after my dogs so well.’

4. Bonnie Paws

Address: 33 Oaklands Rd, Rodley
Contact Details: 07852 317612
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Fri – 8 am to 6 pm
- Sat to Sun – 9:30 am to 1:30 pm
Casey of Bonnie Paws comes highly rated by us and our interviewees. Given that she’s DBS-checked, insured, and trained in canine first aid, that’s no shocker.
She’s also well up in handling ‘complex’ pets, particularly rescues. That’s terrific news if your furball has trust issues or a selective attitude.
Her range is impressive, too. We’ve heard from owners who trust her with all sorts of pets. We’re talking chameleons, leopard geckos, and tropical frogs—not something you find with everyone here.
Owners with outgoing pooches also rate her well. They specifically mentioned Casey’s ‘Group Dog Walk’ options.
The downside is she’s a solo act. Moreover, her overnight sitting fee of £50 is steeper than the city’s traditional pricing.
That said, her traditional sitting and walking services are budget-friendly, so if your fur baby just needs 1–2 visits a day or 1–2 hours of stroll time, you’re good.
She Maintains Great Contact
‘Casey has pet sat for us several times over the last year and she is simply amazing. It’s fair to say we have a wide assortment of pets – cats, crested and leopard geckos, tropical frogs and a chameleon to name a few but she has looked after them all brilliantly. She maintains great contact and we can enjoy our holidays knowing our pets are in safe, caring hands.’
– Hannah Meekings, Google Review
Extremely Diligent
‘Casey has been walking and pet sitting our dogs for over a year now, and she is absolutely amazing. Her knowledge and understanding of dogs and their behaviour is fantastic. One of our dogs is a complex rescue, and she is absolutely brilliant with him. She is extremely diligent, and has a wide range of knowledge in canine enrichment which means the dogs in her care are emotionally and physically supported. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to other pet parents, she is fabulous. I genuinely am not sure what we would do without Casey!’

5. We Love Pets Wakefield

Address: 42 Longbow Ave, Methley
Contact Details: 07935 363918
Operating Hours: Daily – 24 hours
If you’re only game for a long-standing sitter, We Love Pets is a suitable option, having opened way back in 2007, making them the oldest here.
Professionals run this group. All their carers are DBS-checked, first-aid-trained, and certified in pet behaviour.
They’re locals, too, which means if you’re after dog walking services, they know the best Leeds walks to hit.
Another massive perk is their 24/7 vet support—grand for those who value peace of mind and round-the-clock care.
We Love Pets also handles the most eclectic mix of animals on this list. Think snakes, tarantulas, horses, bearded dragons, ferrets, and so much more.
On top of that, their solutions are pretty comprehensive. Basics like medication and scran are covered, alongside extras like post collection, home security checks, and even plant watering.
Just prepare for expensive fees. Quality isn’t cheap.
Their sitters are also sought after, especially come the holiday period.
I Came Home to One Very Happy Boy
‘Thank you so much to Lucy and Elaine for taking care of Alba while I left him for the first time to go on holiday. The photos and updates were a real nice touch to see how content he was at home with you both and out on adventures/walks. I came home to one very happy boy who’d clearly been loved and cared for as much as I do. I’m sure Alba will look forward to more sleepover nights with you!’

They Were Fantastic
‘Lucy & Elaine looked after my elderly cats recently and they were fantastic. Really appreciated the photo updates and came home to 2 happy cats having received lots of cuddles and attention on their visits 🙂 Will definitely be using them again and would 100% recommend them. Thank you both once again:)’
