The best shutter stores in Leeds offer security, shade, and style!
As someone who grew up in a flat without shutters, I didn’t realise how much difference they could make.
Now, I’ll downright say that the extra layer of security, polish, insulation, privacy, and light control they provide is pretty much an essential, especially in Leeds.
That said, not every store is a snug fit. I learned this the hard way when I bought a set from a cheap shop.
So you don’t end up like me, we found the best local shops selling shutters, so you’ll get what you pay for.
How much do shutters cost in Leeds?
The average price of shutters in Leeds mostly depends on the type, with wooden shutters at £170, UPVC/composite shutters at £200, plantation shutters at £250, and exterior shutters at £270, all priced per m2.
If we’re talking about room size, expect to pay around £850 to £1,700 for a typical Yorkshire living room and £1,500 to £2,800 for a 3-bedroom home.

One handy thing about M&M is you don’t have to guess the sizes since most products are made-to-measure. This means you’re paying for both functionality and aesthetics, and yep, they can make uniquely shaped shutters, including circular ones!
Style-wise, the shop often works on 5 types: plantation, bay window, full-height, tier-on-tier, and cafe-style shutters. You can follow our route and inspect the range in their Wortley showroom, or get a general picture via the online one.
If you’re worried about measurements, they provide in-home consults. Clients we chatted with even said the pros they send are respectful and on point.
The prices are good news as well, considering they’re just right for Leeds. Orders of £450 and beyond are also eligible for the shop’s interest-free financing scheme, which helps with budgeting.
That said, getting an estimator isn’t always guaranteed, and updates could be quicker.

Carolina Blinds has 25 years in its resume. That’s over two decades of providing tailored designs to commercial and residential property owners, with a range similar to what the previous entry has.
Fitting and repair are within their scope, too, meaning they don’t operate just as suppliers. Plus, free interior advice comes with that, and the schedule depends on your availability.
They’re not the speediest when it comes to picking up the phone, though. Their demand is high as well; booking an appointment in advance is recommended.
Beyond that, we have no major complaints. The pricing is competitive, their estimators are usually punctual and accurate, you can save time thanks to the online showroom, and weekend visits aren’t an issue since the Moortown branch is open daily.
Oh, and Carolina Blinds is a one-stop shop. Screens, curtains (curtain installers leeds), and blinds (blinds leeds) of all sorts are on the cards.

Seamless Job

If you’re from Morley, chances are you’ve heard of Blinds 2000. They’ve been providing made-to-measure products for over 20 years, after all.
Unique spaces or odd shapes aren’t a problem either, as long as you ring them up for a free appointment.
Personally, it’s their shutter selection I like most. Blinds 2000 sells and fits shutters for different budgets and materials, including Phoenix (lightweight), Cleveland (low-cost), and Marchwood (made from medium-density fibreboard).
There’s just one tiny hiccup: they focus on plantation shutters. If you prefer a shop specialising in other styles, this might not be it.
The bigger issue is that some of their fitters have run late.
On the upside, the professionals they send are often described as friendly and bang-on, installation-wise.
Prices are fair for Leeds, too, which is most likely why their client base consists mostly of repeat customers.

I got my made-to-measure shutters from Leeds Blinds, and, so far, they’re working out well. The best part is that I bought them for a lower price, thanks to the shop’s reasonable rates, bundle deals, and referral programs.
Another feature worth writing about is their next-day appointment perk. Sure, it’s subject to availability, but landing one is always a win, given that it’s free and usually up until 7 pm.
In my case, I had the measurement done on a Saturday. The crew that showed up was polite and quick, even giving me the quote on the same day and advice on how to stretch my money further.
The installation, meanwhile, was done 5 days after the consultation.
I was offered plenty of options as well. Leeds Blinds specialises in different types, including plantation, cafe-style, shaped, blackout, and bay shutters.
They’re in high demand, though, so you’ll want to move fast.

Most patrons say their success comes down to quality customer service. Our interviewees especially praised Jamil and his son for being prompt, cordial, attentive, and well-informed, with the former usually touted as a perfectionist, not a bad quirk to have in this business.
Their selection has more than 5 shutter types as well, all of which can be made bespoke. The 10-year guarantee, free measuring/fabric samples, and competitive rates further sweeten the deal.
As mentioned, though, they’re a family-run business. Getting booked out is always a possibility.
