Insight Counselling Leeds

Address: Guiseley, Leeds
Operating Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00 AM–8:00 PM
Contact Number: 07915246898
Insight Counselling Leeds provides psychology-led counselling services rooted in compassion, trust, and professional integrity. The practice recognises therapy as a brave step and approaches each client’s decision to begin counselling with genuine respect and care.
A strong focus is placed on creating a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship. Trust is built gradually, allowing clients to feel comfortable exploring sensitive and deeply personal topics at their own pace.
Clients are encouraged to bring anything meaningful into sessions, whether thoughts, emotions, or personal materials that reflect their inner world. The psychologist adapts to different forms of expression, including conversation, diagrams, metaphors, and visual tools, ensuring therapy remains flexible and client-led.
Alongside this approach, Insight Counselling Leeds is shaped by a clear personal and professional journey. A long-standing fascination with how people think, cope, and survive difficult experiences led to studying Psychology at the University of Leicester, followed by a career in teaching. This background reinforced the importance of patience, empathy, and clear communication when supporting others.
Over time, this interest developed into a desire to offer deeper, more personal support. Further training in Interpersonal and Counselling Skills was completed, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Leeds Beckett University. These academic foundations support thoughtful, ethical, and informed therapeutic work.
Some of the most influential learning came outside traditional academic settings. Experience gained through working with organisations such as Bradford Bereavement Service, Cruse, Sue Ryder, and Mind provided firsthand exposure to grief, trauma, and real human experiences, shaping a grounded and compassionate clinical approach.
Professional credibility underpins the service, including registered membership with the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists, valid DBS clearance, and professional indemnity insurance. These credentials sit alongside years of listening, learning, and sitting with clients during vulnerable moments.
Insight Counselling Leeds invites clients to take an active role in shaping their therapy goals and pace. Initial consultations provide space to explore expectations, previous counselling experiences, and existing support systems.
The service works with both individuals and couples across a wide range of emotional and psychological concerns. This makes Insight Counselling Leeds suitable for clients facing immediate challenges as well as those seeking to address long-standing personal patterns, within a respectful and supportive therapeutic environment.

Stephanie is a warm hearted, empathetic and funny lady.
“Stephanie is a warm hearted, empathetic and funny lady. She listened attentively, let me cry when I needed to, gave me time to talk without interruption and made the sessions seem like we were two friends out having coffee and cake. She put me at ease and understood so much about myself that even I didn’t know. The sessions were a great help after the loss of my dad and I cannot thank her enough for agreeing to work with me:she helped me far much more than I thought possible 😊”

Dr Kamila Hortynska

Address: The Hollies, Weetwood Ln, Weetwood
Operating Hours: Monday to Friday—7 am to 3 pm
Contact Number: +447896969242
Dr Kamila Hortynska is the psychologist I went with all those years ago, and I was so pleased with the sessions that I’m still seeing her to this day.
She prefers a holistic approach to therapy, always advocating for mindfulness and finding purpose in daily living, so I feel spiritually refreshed every time. She can also do cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), so you can learn to break free from old patterns.
Dr Kamila’s personality and work ethic are probably why I keep coming back. She’s incredibly thorough in her assessment, and she has a very calming presence that always puts me at ease.
That said, I have to say that her services are pretty lacking. She only offers therapy, life coaching, and psychedelic integration sessions.
Her services are pretty expensive, too. Single sessions are priced at a whopping £222, but you can score discounts if you book the packages (for example, a four-session package costs £620, so each session is now £155).
Customer Reviews
Thorough assessment, amazing psychologist
“I reached out to Kamila when I realised that I need to do some work on myself. I contacted several therapists, but Kamila just stood out. She was very thorough in her assessment, while others didn’t even suggest one and wanted to jump straight into the sessions. I can not express how my life has improved in terms of relationships, work-life balance, and the choices I make. Sessions with Kamila have been the best and the most valuable investment in my life. I have never felt happier and more balanced. Our inner child work, work on improving my diet, and health in general were priceless.”

Incredible psychologist
“Kamilla has been incredible. She’s helped me transform my health, deepen my spiritual practice, and even strengthen my relationship with my sister. I highly recommend working with her.”

Leeds Anxiety Psychologist by Dr Aneesa Psychology

Address: 8 Tinshill Ln
Operating Hours: Open 24 hours
If you have anxiety, phobias, and other mental disorders like obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) or panic disorder, then Leeds Anxiety Psychology by Dr Aneesa Psychology is for you. After all, this clinic specialises in these conditions.
Dr Aneesa combines elements of CBT and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) in her sessions, so you can expect to better understand your emotions, thoughts, and actions while also practising strategies to manage anxiety.
For more complex issues, she can do trauma-focused CBT (ideal for people with PTSD) and even exposure or response prevention (a specific treatment protocol for people with OCD).
Not sure if this is the psychologist for you? You can book a free consultation via phone! It’s only 15 minutes, but it’s still worth something.
The prices here are high, though. One session costs £180, and that only lasts for 50 minutes! They do have a cheaper alternative: a 30-minute therapy session priced at £100.
Fortunately, this clinic accepts insurance. In particular, they’re registered with WPA, BUPA, and AVIVA. They can work with private insurance providers, but you’ll have to do the legwork of sending your claim ahead of time.

I feel happier, calmer and confident that I can deal with challenges that might arise in future.”

Head Agenda Counselling & Therapy Leeds

Address: 28 Park Pl
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Friday—9 am to 9 pm
- Saturday—9 am to 5 pm
Contact Number: +441134180212
Whether you’re a kid, teenager, or adult, Head Agenda Counselling and Therapy Leeds can work with you. Not only that, but the psychologists here are also trained to deal with a variety of conditions, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and anger management.
This clinic doesn’t just offer an individual therapy setup. They also offer couples or family therapy and even corporate services like management, therapeutic support, employee therapy, and clinical coaching for professionals.
I’ve also heard that the psychologists here are genuinely caring and kind. They’re also good at asking questions; one client shared that the questions led her to realise why she was feeling the way she was.
Arguably, the best part about this clinic is the pricing; it’s cheaper than most clinics! Their individual sessions range between £72 and £96, and the only one that goes beyond the £100 benchmark is family therapy.
Unfortunately, the psychologists here are only available at your scheduled appointment time. They can’t help you if you’re in an emergency.
Customer Reviews
Kind, patient, and incredibly insightful
“My experience with Head Agenda Counselling in Leeds has been profoundly positive. Seeking therapy felt like a big step, but the team made me feel comfortable and supported from the very beginning. My therapist is a true expert—kind, patient, and incredibly insightful. She didn’t just listen; she provided me with clear strategies and a new perspective that has genuinely changed how I handle life’s challenges. The sessions felt tailored specifically to my pace and needs. The office is modern, private, and easily accessible. I am deeply grateful for the guidance and tools I’ve received and would confidently recommend Head Agenda to anyone looking for professional and compassionate mental health support.”
- Julian Hatfield, Google Review
Supportive and professional
“I cannot recommend Head Agenda or Bethy enough. Having previously had a less than satisfactory experience elsewhere, coming to Head Agenda gave me what I hoped for. A professional experience that was perfectly tailored to my needs. Bethy provided a safe environment to explore multiple topics. She supported but also challenged me which has led to me feeling so much more aware and informed about what I was experiencing but ultimately enabling me to manage so much better. I have recommended Head Agenda and Bethy to others and will continue to do so.”

Kaleidoscope Psychology and Psychotherapy

Address: Sunny Bank Mills, 10 Sandsgate, 83-85 Town St
Operating Hours: Monday to Friday—9 am to 5 pm
Contact Number: +441133280120
Kaleidoscope Psychology and Psychotherapy is located all the way in the village of Farsley—still in the Leeds district, but a 20-minute drive away from the city centre. This far location is a bit of a bummer.
Still, this is a clinic worth visiting, especially for couples and families who seek to repair their relationships. The psychologists here take on a relational focus, which contextualises your various relationships and how they have shaped you.
Though they specialise in couples and family therapy, they also offer individual therapy. The best part is that they can work with anyone, regardless of age, so kids, teens, and adults can find value in their services.
If you really can’t make it to the physical location because it’s far from where you live, or you just don’t have the time, the psychologists are more than happy to offer online therapy instead. Such a convenient offer!
The prices here are slightly high, clocking in at £110 for individual sessions (court-appointed or corporate sessions are more expensive). The clinic accepts insurance but only from AXA.

Professional, kind, and understanding
“Was needing some help with a bereavement and work stress and therapy helped much more than I expected. Great value can be found in the professional, kind and understanding reception I got. Therapy helped me unblock myself from grief and move on. It helped me untangle the yarn of the many work issues and view my situation from another point of view. I gained greater understanding of my ways and I was able to express my mind visually many times. To make sense of things that don’t make sense. I was able to be honest with myself and about the situations I had to deal with. I am grateful for the help and I can now continue with life in a more hopeful way. Thank you very much. For those seeking this kind of help I would definitely recommend this service.”

Transformative experience
“My experience of Kaleidoscope has been transformative. As someone who had never received therapy before, it exceeded everything I could’ve hoped to learn about myself and about the way I think and how this leads to behaviours. I had Marina and she was excellent, always extremely welcoming and chatty whilst also having a clear plan to achieve what I wanted to achieve with my sessions. Thank you!”

The Tower Clinic

Address: 8 Tinshill Ln
Operating Hours:
- Monday, Friday, and Saturday—9 am to 5 pm
- Tuesday to Thursday—9 am to 8 pm
Contact Number: +441132672067
The Tower Clinic is another one that’s quite a drive away from the city centre, but I’d still recommend it.
What I appreciate most about this clinic is the fact that it doesn’t look like a clinic. On the outside, it just looks like a regular house, and considering it’s at the outskirts of the city, the atmosphere is almost idyllic. In a way, that gives off a calming vibe.
It also has ample space outside for parking. So, if you choose to drive here, you won’t struggle finding a spot.
The interior is even lovelier. There are various suites available, and each one is well-furnished and wonderfully decorated. The therapy suites, in particular, are very cosy and warm, which I love.
The array of services here is impressive. They have the usual psychology and psychiatry services like therapy and medication treatment, but they also have other options, such as hypnotherapy, nutritional therapy, and physiotherapy!
When it comes to therapy, the rates are fairly affordable, usually ranging between £50 and £70. To make things better, some practitioners even offer fun perks like getting a free session when you book a certain number of sessions ahead of time.
