The cost of hiring a party planner in Leeds usually depends on what you need and the type of event you’re hosting. 
If you just want a venue to be decorated, the rate is between £200 and £500. If you book a full-service planning (which includes decorating, catering, and other elements), the cost starts at £1,000. 
If you’re planning a wedding, the rate gets even more expensive. It usually starts at £2,000.

If you’re planning a wedding, you need to check out Sian Chaplin Events because weddings are their speciality.

They offer a great array of services. Do you need a partial or full planning, with on-the-day coordination? They’re your guy! What if you just want to find a beautiful wedding venue or help with making a wedding essentials list? They can do that, too!

Even though they specialise in weddings, this planner is more than happy to plan other types of special events. So far, they’ve done engagement celebrations, hen and stag weekends, and even kids’ parties. Their versatility is impressive! 

Sian, the main planner, is amazing. She’s so friendly, reassuring, and almost like a superhero, with the way she handles all the logistics. Many clients told me that they didn’t feel any wedding anxiety because Sian did her job so well. 

That said, the prices here are on the higher end. Standard party planning starts at £500, while wedding planning services range between £900 and £5,000. Fortunately, you can try to negotiate the final rate, but still, this is worth noting.

Brilliant coordinator

After we postponed our wedding a year due to COVID, I felt a little overwhelmed by resuming our planning and so reached out to Sian for her on the day coordination and some additional help in terms of childcare for our daughter aged nearly 2 on the later evening. Sian was brilliant coordinating the suppliers, it was a blank canvas venue and so we had numerous suppliers to link in with. Lovely, professional, and organized planner

Sian planned and co-ordinated a style photoshoot at our venue, she is super lovely, organised and very professional. Love Stories Events is another party planner that’s best known for weddings, but they also do other events, such as corporate functions, funeral services, and television and media projects.

The first thing I like about this planner is their free consultation. It’s only for 30 minutes, but it’s more than enough to discuss my vision and suggestions on how to bring it to life. I love how the planner truly listens to what I like and adjusts the plan based on that.

Then, when it’s time for the party, the team is prompt and efficient. And their styling skills are amazing. They really think everything through, down to the last detail. 

For most of the parties I had with them, they made sure to use sustainable materials and biodegradable decorations because I told them I wanted something eco-friendly. The fact that they honoured that makes me so happy. 

The only downside is that the rates are pretty expensive; they usually start at £995. The company also doesn’t offer any financing to help you pay off the bill. 

However, you can try to negotiate the rate, and you might get something cheaper, especially if your event isn’t a wedding.

What I like most about BellaEventsLTD is that they don’t just plan events for you, but they also let you hire equipment like marquees, gazebos, and even hot tubs! Not only that, but you can also book them for catering. 

Because of this, it’s not a surprise that this party planner has been booked for all sorts of events, including weddings, corporate functions, parties, and festivals. 

I have to commend their marquees and gazebos. They’re super sturdy! One time, I hired their marquee during a windy day, and it held up pretty well. Oh, and their marquees come in different sizes, styles, and colours, too, and I love having so many options!

The prices are amazing here as well. They range from £110 to £300 per gazebo or marquee, which is quite the steal. If I’m in the mood to host a party but don’t have the funds for something expensive, I always ring them first.

If I have to nitpick something, I’ll have to say that their communication could be better. They’re responsive, but sometimes, they’re not clear about when they’re setting up or taking down the equipment, so I end up waiting for far longer than necessary.

Celebration Balloons and Events specialises in party decor, and you can best believe they carry an impressive inventory. Aside from balloons (to no one’s surprise), they also have canopy trees, LED backdrops, table centrepieces, and more. 

I’m incredibly impressed with the balloon decor, in particular. I used to think that balloons were boring, but here, they have balloon arches, balloons shaped like animals or flowers, and balloon pillars. It turns out that balloons can be creative! 

They also offer DJ services. And if you don’t have a venue yet, don’t worry because they have partnerships with several suppliers. Some of the venues they can book for you include Harewood House and the historic Royal Armouries.

Clients love the service they get from here. Alison, the leader, gets the most praise. People love how friendly and eager to help she is; one client even said that she herself came on the day of the wedding to set up the decor!

Keep in mind that this company only offers decorations, DJ services, and venues. If you want someone who will coordinate on the day of the event or take care of logistics, you’ll have to book a different planner.

Planning a party for your kid and their friends? Then, Shuffles Entertainment Ltd is the party planner to book. After all, this place specialises in hosting parties for children aged between three and 13 years old. 

I like that they already have themes ready to go, so you can just choose between a disco, sports, or inflatable party. All options are so much fun, and if you want to take it up a notch, you can suggest adding more stuff, like games. 

The people here are incredibly skilled at keeping children engaged. The parties always have a clear structure, so the elements of the show flow into each other well, and the host just has a lovely energy, which the kids match with no problem. 

To make things better, kids’ parties aren’t the only events that they host. They can also do family gatherings, corporate functions, and even weddings. You can choose to just rent their inflatable slides, bouncy castles, and other equipment as well. 

However, I’ve heard complaints about the customer service. One client shared that she tried to book their services, but the person who attended to her was rude and unaccommodating.

Easy to deal with, keeps the kids busy and involved

Shuffles keeps the children busy and involved – enough structure that they can all take part and enough freedom to feel like a proper party. A good balance, and they all love the snow machine. Very easy to deal with and knows exactly how to get things done.

Easy booking process

Mr Shuffles provided the entertainment for my daughter and her friend’s 5th birthday. Jason was so responsive during the booking process, it was so easy. He arrived early on the day for setup ahead of the arrival of guests. He kept the children and adults alike fully entertained! The kids were loving every minutes and the parents were so impressed with his hosting skills! Would definitely hire Jason again and would 100% recommend!
