Stay protected by the best cybersecurity companies in Leeds!

Experience: We checked case studies and online registries to narrow this review to cybersecurity companies with at least 5 years of experience in handling projects such as vulnerability assessments and incident reports, preferably across 5-plus sectors.

Excellent Customer Service: Through feedback and direct contact, we rated each candidate’s response times, attitude, and ability to simplify tech language. Post-deployment support was also factored in.

Comprehensive Solutions: Our choices have at least 5 solutions, including installation of firewalls, data loss prevention, SIEM, encryption, and network segmentation.

Proper Credentials: Confirmed via legitimate profiles and directories, our team selected staff who hold accreditations, primarily CompTIA Security+, ISO 27001, or CISSP. Those with more received bonus points.

Pricing: Cybersecurity will cost you money, so we prioritised names that are within Leeds’ averages while maintaining strong service standards. Transparency was heavily considered, too.

Not trying to give you nightmares, but anyone online is fair game for financial fraud or a malware attack. I’ve seen it happen first-hand when my uncle had to close shop after losing money to hackers (and his coffee shop’s reputation).

The slight silver lining is that you don’t have to just cross your fingers and hope fraudsters and other threats won’t notice you. Bringing in tested cybersecurity firms, for instance, is one of the most effective (and smartest) ways to protect your sensitive information.

Of course, the big question is which pros are actually worth calling in and paying for. That’s what we answered below.

How much do cybersecurity companies charge in the UK?

Most cybersecurity companies in the UK charge £35 to £75 per hour. Meanwhile, monthly rates for cybersecurity services tend to cost between £100 and £300.

1. Pentest People

pentest-people-logo

Address: Coachworks

Contact Details: 0330 311 0990

Operating Hours: Mon to Fri – 9 am to 5:30 pm

Website

I recommend Pentest People if you want to test your system’s weak points. They’re CREST and CHECK-certified experts specialising in Penetration Testing as a Service, a method for clocking and patching up security holes before cyber criminals do.

You can think of them as ethical hackers who provide real-time, ongoing, detailed, and actionable reports on how you can strengthen your defences. The team is ISO 27001- and PCI DSS-approved, so you know they have the premier skills for that.

Global names such as Honda and Suzuki also make up their clientele, though we’ve also chatted with a few local businesses they support.

Pentest People’s trophy case isn’t empty either, with wins in the Digital City Awards (2021), Cyber Security Awards (2022), and more.

That said, startups might find the costs a tad steep. Their Bronze membership plan is a bit light on services as well.

Pros

  • Operating since 2017
  • Specialises in PTaS
  • Serves big brands
  • CREST and CHECK-certified
  • Multi-awarded

Cons

  • Might be costly for startups
  • Starter package has few services

Energetic and Helpful

Always a great prompt experience with the channel team. Matt, Robyn, Kane are my typical contacts but the entire team are so energetic and helpful, makes business easy when dealing with them.

2. Sycom Integrated Solutions

Address: Aspire, 2 Infirmary St

Contact Details: 0113 328 0244

Operating Hours: Mon to Fri – 9 am to 5 pm

Website

Sycom Integrated Solutions is a reasonable choice if you’re the ‘vets only’ type. This cybersecurity specialist has been running since 2011, and as of 2025, the firm has nearly 70-plus active clients with over 20 engineers in place.

It’s not a one-service setup with them. They’re a Managed Security Service Provider, so you can hire these folks for penetration testing, recovery solutions, dark web monitoring, email protection, and more, with most services offered 24/7.

They’re great professionals, too, from what we’ve gathered. They clearly and promptly handle questions through their consultancy service, which is also useful for gauging if they’re a right fit.

Their client base, however, isn’t really stacked with high-profile names, and the award count is fairly modest.

On a positive note, you can set up free assessments or attend their coaching/mentoring sessions. Being an authorised partner of Microsoft, ISC2, and CompTIA gives those services extra weight.

Pros

  • Open since 2011
  • Microsoft, CompTIA, and ISC2 partnerships
  • Free assessments
  • Has consultation services

Cons

  • Lack of big-name clients
  • Fewer awards

Informative, Helpful

I HIGHLY recommend Sycom Academy ESPECIALLY for beginners! Informative, helpful, and trainers give step-by-step instructions through the whole journey to the point where you get a job in cyber security! A good choice for every student interested in pursuing a career within cybersecurity or any individual who’s simply curious. And especially those interested in learning how to prevent future attacks by avoiding threats/vulnerabilities by learning how to spot them on your own to begin with. 💯% PERFECT PLACE TO START WHEN YOU SIMPLY 🤷DON’T KNOW WHERE TO START🤷

3. Dynamic Networks Group

Address: Pure Offices Leeds Thorpe Park, 4310 Park Approach, Thorpe Pk Approach

Contact Details: 0333 210 1231

Operating Hours: Mon to Fri – 8 am to 6 pm

Website

Based on our research and talks with clients, Dynamic Networks Group’s staff is one of the quickest and most informative teams out there, with a 5-minute average response time. Being open since 2009 probably helps them keep their customer care sharp.

Their well-rounded approach to cybersecurity earned them bonus points, too. Aside from getting solutions such as penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, encryption, and consultations, clients get bonuses like compliance guidance.

Of course, there are a few pitfalls, primarily the costs, which, although cost-effective, might be too high for newer companies.

Having trial services would have been appreciated too.

Beyond that, Dynamic is a quality choice, considering they’re trusted by companies, including Lawcris and Flamingo Land. Some of their clients have also been around for 3-plus years.

The packages are bespoke as well, so you’re not paying for pre-established subscriptions or unnecessary features. Instead, you’ll work with them to create a tailored service agreement.

Pros

  • Open since 2009
  • 5-minute average response time
  • Has long-term clients
  • Serves established brands such as Lawcris and Breasly
  • Fully bespoke agreements

Cons

  • Can be pricey for startups
  • Lack of trial services

Great Bunch of People

Dynamic Networks are a great bunch of people that have always gone above and beyond to look after our IT & network/security needs as a business. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for IT support; the personal service we receive and response times on tickets is fantastic. We have recently undergone some large email and server installations. The whole team were brilliant throughout, managing our expectations and working overtime to hit our deadlines. We experienced very few issues for the size and complexity of the project, and anything minor that did crop up was swiftly resolved. Thank you guys!

Great leadership across the business and expert delivery teams who are fully committed to meeting the customer requirements, come what may. Highly recommended as an exemplar business in its space.

4. Remedian IT Services

Address: Remedian IT, 2 Wellington Pl

Contact Details: 0113 350 0464

Operating Hours: Mon to Fri – 8 am to 5 pm

Website

Turnaround time is one of Remedian’s biggest strengths. Clients have praised their efficiency in resolving issues or queries, often sorted within an hour.

As for services, they cover the usuals: recovery planning, penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and consultations. The sweet part is that these are tailored and not bundled in packages, plus they help companies process Cyber Essentials certifications.

Prices are reasonable, too, evidenced by their client base that’s mostly made up of SMEs (and about 40-plus UK schools). You can even schedule a free consultation, which most competitors will bill you for.

The downside there is that they might not cater well to mega-brands.

They’re not as decorated as the other entries either, though, to be fair, GDPR compliance is in the bag.

Remedian also clears our experience bar, having been around for 16-plus years and servicing nearly 100 active customers in 2025.

Pros

  • Running for 16-plus years
  • Reasonable prices for SMEs
  • Has 100-plus active customers
  • Helps companies receive Cyber Essentials cert
  • Free consults

Cons

  • May not be a great fit for larger companies
  • Lack of awards

Dependable IT Support

Having worked with Remedian IT Solutions for many years, I continue to be impressed with the quality of their service. Their team is professional, knowledgeable, and consistently quick to respond whenever we need support. Whether it’s resolving day-to-day IT issues or offering strategic guidance, they always deliver to a high standard. What sets them apart is their genuine commitment to understanding our business and providing tailored, reliable solutions. It’s clear they truly care about their clients and take great pride in the work they do. Highly recommended for any business looking for dependable IT support and innovative solutions.

5. YorCyberSec Limited

Address: WorkWell Offices at Carrwood Park, 5 Carrwood Park

Contact Details: 0113 372 0200

Operating Hours: Mon to Fri – 8:30 am to 6 pm

Website

If what you’re after is a cybersecurity broker, YorCyberSec is worth a look. We think they’re client-centric, given how their services depend on the customer’s needs and budget rather than pushing their own products.

The firm achieves that by working closely with partners, gathering all the crucial details through consultations. Once everything is sorted, they will then match customers with the most fitting cybersecurity solution, all without bias to a certain vendor.

Negotiations are also handled by the YorCyberSec team. The neat part? You don’t have to pay a quid for their services.

Clearly, that has worked, as they have patrons who have stuck for around 10 to 15 years. More than 160 regulars and 650 projects also form their portfolio.

The less-sweet part is that they don’t provide the services themselves. As mentioned, they’re cybersecurity brokers.

In addition, they’re relatively new, having started in 2019.

Pros

  • Free service
  • Has customers who’ve stayed for 10–15 years
  • Has 160-plus active clients
  • Over 650 completed projects
  • Covers security compliance, testing, and training

Cons

  • Doesn’t provide services themselves
  • Newest company here (2019)

Approachable Company

I’m very careful when it comes to selecting security services for my company, so it’s great that I can always trust YorCyberSec to help me navigate through the many options available. They narrow down what can be a confusing range of security companies to a small set of recommended providers, saving me a huge amount of time so I can focus on running my business. YorCyberSec is a friendly, approachable company that understands what we are trying to achieve & doesn’t push providers or services that don’t fit. Highly recommended.

– Jay George, Google Review

A Great Service Provider

I’ve had the pleasure of working with YorCyberSec for a number of years now. A great service provider, that goes above and beyond by truly understanding their clients needs.

I would highly recommend their services to anyone wishing to procure services in Cybersecurity, IT, Compliance or Licensing.
