Pamper your pup at the best dog grooming salons in Leeds!
We tried DIY grooming on our pups once, and let’s just say we really put ourselves on a sticky wicket. These days, we leave it to the pros—as we should’ve done that from the start.
The best of the bunch in Leeds can take any dog, no matter the size or breed, and make them look fresh and feel tip-top. Here are some of the ones we’ve tried.
How much does dog grooming in Leeds cost?
The price for dog grooming in Leeds differs depending on the breed, coat type, or size of the dog, with full grooming services typically running from £22 and bath services at £13.
1. Mrs B’s Dog Grooming

Address: Car Park, Via The Headingley Taps, North Ln, Headingley
Contact Details: 0113 278 2061
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Fri – 7:30 am to 5:30 pm
- Sat – 9 am to 1:30 pm
For years now, Mrs B’s has been the grooming choice of the team, and it’s not hard to figure out why. With a spotless, tailor-made setup, first-rate services for all breeds, and 7+ years of experience, they know their stuff.
The results? Whether it’s a bath and blow-dry or de-shedding and teeth cleaning, our dogs come out looking and smelling like a million bucks.
No grumbles about the staff either—especially when it comes to patience and friendliness. We’re not going to lie, our dogs are a lively bunch, but the folks here handle them well without ever resorting to harsh tactics.
There are still a few points to consider, however. Another customer we chatted with wasn’t happy about the price increase, mentioning it lacked a bit of transparency.
Some folks also felt the service seemed hurried, done in an hour rather than the typical two.
We Will Definitely Be Back
“Duncan looked absolutely fabulous when I came to collect him, and he smelled divine. He’s a 35kg British bulldog and I was unsure how he would react to his first even grooming appointment but the girls were amazingly reassuring, confident and kind. Thank-you so much. We will definitely be back!”

He Came Out So Happy
“Highly recommend. Charlie had his first groom here after an accident at his old one which left him traumatised and terrified of groomers to the point he couldn’t step in one, he’s been a few times with my mums dog just walking in and back out but he finally went for his first groom! They was so patient with him and said he was such a good boy and had lots of cuddles! He came out so happy and looking super handsome”

2. Beauty and the Beast Luxury Dog Grooming

Address: 178 Easterly Rd
Contact Details: 07575 173953
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Wed – 9:30 am to 5:30 pm
- Sat – 10 am to 4:30 pm
The rave reviews for Beauty and the Beast aren’t fluff. High-quality service is the baseline here, with an impressive range—from precision scissor cuts and nail trimming to essential in-between groom tidy-ups.
One thing that’s worth noting is they’re relatively young, having opened in 2021. This could be a bit of a turn-off if you’re after a more established grooming place.
That said, the service is still spot-on. The ‘luxury’ in their name isn’t just for kicks. The shampoos and conditioners they use are all from the premium Iv San Bernard line, and the salon itself is always looking sharp and well-kept.
Plus, they offer full-on spa packages, like the Prince Charming one. This is perfect if you want the whole shebang—clipper cut, teeth cleaning, bath, and blow-dry, you get the idea.
The prices are a bit steep, though. The perk is they’re pretty upfront about the costs, so no nasty surprises for your wallet.
Wonderful People
“Luna was very nervous for her first grooming experience but the wonderful people here made her feel so comfortable, I was instantly confident to leave her in their hands. Luna had a wonderful pampering, I opted for an additional spa treatment to make her day extra special. The cut itself was perfect and just as we discussed, she was cut short enough to not require a return trip too soon, but not too short to lose her scruffy chic character. I would highly recommend the girls at Beauty and the Beast to anyone.”

Looking Forward to Returning Soon
“Such a great experience today, the owner went above and beyond to make sure my nervous dog felt comfortable with her. After a previously bad experience at another dog groomers I left feeling confident on returning here again. You can see that they truly care about the dogs needs. Looking forward to returning soon, thanks again for your patience!”

3. Doggy Academy

Address: Holy Family Catholic Primary S, 64 Hall Ln, Armley
Contact Details: 0113 279 7650
Operating Hours: Mon to Sun – 8 am to 4 pm
Full-on pooch pampering is Doggy Academy’s forte, like their highly-rated Spa + Sparkle package. Lasting for one hour, this session packs deep cleaning, fresh scents, and relaxing treatments in one go.
Just like the last one, though, Doggy Academy is relatively new, having opened in 2022. The silver lining? Their head groomer has 15+ years of experience.
Another bonus is their flea treatment. It’s a no-pain, all-gain option that, according to clients, actually works. Just bear in mind, it’ll set you back an extra £15.
In addition to the pros, Doggy Academy provides de-matting treatments, setting them apart from most names here. If your pup’s coat is so matted it’s causing discomfort or even illness, this is a life-saver.
Appointments can sometimes drag on, though. One client, for instance, booked an hour but ended up waiting over two hours—a nightmare if your schedule is packed.
Would a Million Percent Recommend
“We take two dogs to be groomed here, one is a spaniel and one is a border collie. Both are treated amazing and groomed fantastically. Always such friendly service and great pricing. Our border collie a sometimes temperamental around other dogs and I found it hard to find a groomers that will groom double coated breeds but when asked, there wasn’t a doubt of hestiation and we’ve not had one problem with him there. Would a million percent recommend.”

4. Furology Grooming

Address: 5 Lidgett Ct, Roundhay
Contact Details: 07879 476195
Operating Hours: Mon to Fri – 8:30 am to 5:15 pm
Furology Grooming is a solid option for anyone seeking a groomer with a broad selection of treatments. With 10+ options, including services for extra-large, toy-small, and long-haired breeds, they have something for every pup.
Moreover, they consistently deliver great results. The proof is Furology Grooming’s high customer retention rate; most clients have been with them since 2018.
The staff, especially Dan, can also quickly build rapport with the pups, regardless of breed or temperament. This means sessions are often fit-free, even for new clients.
Their prices aren’t bad either. Sure, more involved tasks like hand-stripping big dogs can be pricier, but that’s understandable.
However, weekend closure is a downside, especially for fur parents who can only make time on Saturdays and Sundays.
Locking an appointment is tricky as well. Furology Grooming is often fully booked months in advance, with schedules rarely open for at least 4 months.
My Puppy was Warmly Welcomed
“Wonderful pet grooming service! My puppy, Harvey, underwent a puppy trim and with it being our first visit, we had a few questions and Daniel kindly answered with great knowledge. Daniel was very friendly, professional and prompt with communication which we found helpful. My puppy was warmly welcomed and he smelt amazing afterwards! Overall, would highly recommend taking your dog for a nice pamper!”

5. Peculiar Pooches Parlour

Address: 14 Highlands Cl, Belle Isle
Contact Details: 07760 843872
Operating Hours:
- Tue to Fri – 10 am to 5 pm
- Sat – 1 pm to 5 pm
Every Peculiar Pooches Parlour client we talked to shared how their pups always smell and look good after a session here.
Most go for their full-groom service since it includes treatments like full bath, blow dry, brush, and trim. The fair pricing and the staff’s patient handling make this option extra appealing.
Even better, they have de-matting services, perfect for fur parents with babies struggling from tangled or matted fur.
You can also count on them for specialised handstripping, a grooming option essential for wire-coated breeds. Not every groomer on this list has this.
To top it all off, they stock botanically enriched and cruelty-free products, like coat management sprays, which typically are a steal at just £10.40 for 250 ml.
However, one snag is their hours. They’re closed on Sundays and Mondays and open late on Saturdays. Some may also consider them new, having first opened their doors in 2021.
Price is Reasonable
“Both my dogs are groomed here (cockerpoo & Spaniel) and have been going for a while now. I’m really pleased with how they look & smell. The price is reasonable too especially having 2. I’m glad I’ve found a reliable groomer that my boys can have consistency of been groomed by the same person.”

“My dog Jessie has been here a couple of times now. She’s extremely nervous and has been a bit snappy when getting her nails done.
