The Best Dog Boarding Facilities in Leeds for Fur Babies Who Need the VIP Treatment
Bit of a downer, but your dog can’t tag along everywhere, especially on long trips. Life isn’t all sunshine and belly rubs, sadly.
Thankfully, there are dog boarding facilities. They’re absolute lifesavers for both fur babies and their owners, offering structure, safety, and a bit of luxury when life demands a temporary split.
Leeds actually has bucketloads of such, which busy fur parents like us are chuffed with. We’ve rounded up the best of them for you so you no longer have to leave your pooch with your dodgy mate Dave.
How much do dog boarding facilities in Leeds cost?
The prices of dog boarding facilities in Leeds generally run from £12 to £55 per day, with fees that usually depend on the operation’s size, service class, and the spot’s location.
1. Cozy Canines Services

Address: 36 Ring Rd Halton
Contact Details: 07905 001591
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Fri – 8 am to 5 pm
- Sat to Sun – 10 am to 5 pm
We’ve trusted Cozy Canines Services with our pups for yonks, and they rarely disappoint. Fully DBS-checked and licenced, their team runs a tight ship.
Their Superior Home Boarding is a stellar pick—plenty of walks, bespoke exercise routines, and chill time.
It’s not the cheapest setup, mind, but quality service rarely is—especially when you’re dealing with a spot that bagged Yorkshire Prestige Awards from 2021 to 2024.
Plus, it’s a service that’ll give you peace of mind, thanks to the step-by-step intro involving a meet-and-greet and an overnight trial. It’s a brilliant way to ensure your dog feels right at home before the big stay.
The only hitch is it takes time, so if you’re in a pinch and need a boarding spot pronto, the gradual process is a con.
A Caring Professional
“Kali loves going to visit Tracey and Jayne. She runs down the drive eager to join Finley the lovely Labrador. Kali has made many friends on her visits and walks. Whether staying for a day or longer we get lovely photos and updates. Tracey and Jayne really care about your pets. Understanding and considering their individual characters and needs. It’s so reassuring to know your precious pet is with such a caring professional and lovely couple.”

I Couldn’t Recommend Them More
“I’m so happy that my dog is now a pack member at Cozy Canines. Tracey and Jayne are amazing with Gus my 3 year old Pug, and although he’s not been going long his tail wags and he gets excited the second I say, “are you going to see Finley” I get lovely pictures of Gus having fun, playing games, going on walks with the other dogs, and settled on the sofa for a nap. It really is a home from home. Tracey and Jayne are wonderful with all the dogs, giving them lots of attention and love, and have a lot of good advice too. They even sent out valentines messages from the dogs which was so lovely. I know Gus will be well looked after and loved whilst I’m on holiday which makes me feel so much better about leaving him. I couldn’t recommend them more. Thank you both so much.”

2. Crystal Spring

Address: Crystal Spring Boarding Kennels, Gildersome Ln
Contact Details: 0113 285 2460
Operating Hours: Daily – 9:30 am to 10:30 am, 4 pm to 6 pm
Established in 1969, Crystal Spring is a seasoned pro in the field. That said, it’s not just their age that put them on the map; their personalised boarding options for short and long stays also draw throngs of pet lovers.
Additionally, their rates are cheap. For example, your pup can stay in their kennels for just £23 a night.
As for the kennels, they’re spacious and cosy—so much so that some dogs don’t even want to leave. Plus, the whole facility offers loads of room to roam and zones for your pup to unwind, so they’re not stuck in one spot all day.
However, the place could use some TLC. Some areas, like the outdoor space, feel a bit under-equipped and cramped, with very few toys and some cracks in the flooring.
They can also be inconsistent. One client mentioned the staff weren’t even around during advertised operational hours.
Only a Phone Call Away
We take our cat and dog to the kennels twice a year, they couldn’t be more cared for unless they were at home. They’re only a phone call away, even available on WhatsApp. Highly recommended.

Kept Me Updated
“I have an extremely fearful and reactive border collie who is used to being at home with me all the time. As my son is getting married in few weeks it was necessary for me to investigate boarding kennels. I was very nervous about leaving her, but Charlotte and Joanne were wonderful, didn’t dismiss my fears, reassured me even suggested a trial run. They kept me updated on how she was and I was elated to see how happy she was with the ladies and the care they provided. I have no problem now taking her to Crystal Springs and am looking to book her in for a weekend every couple of months or so, just so it remains familiar to her. I would highly recommend Crystal Springs to anyone looking for somewhere to board their dog.”

3. Laburnum Boarding Kennels & Cattery

Address: Low Common, Methley
Contact Details: 01977 512864
Operating Hours: Daily – 9 am to 5:30 pm
For over 30 years, Laburnum Boarding Kennels & Cattery has been offering peace of mind to fur parents.
Their 12’6″ x 6’ kennels offer enough room for your pup to sprawl, and with central heating, your fur baby will stay nice and warm through the night.
They don’t stop with the basics, either. Every dog is insured through Pet Plan, and the staff know their stuff when it comes to pups with medical needs.
In terms of fare, they only serve the good stuff—think Pedigree Chum and James Wellbeloved. You can even request special treats or bespoke diet plans if your dog has a more refined palate.
Furthermore, they have several exercise areas, and daily walks are included in the price.
The rates aren’t exactly a bargain, though. Some folks have also had gripes with customer service, claiming a few reps can be rude sometimes.
Staff Are Super Lovely and Friendly
“My dogs first time staying in the kennels and they looked after him so well, staff are super lovely and friendly and Cooper seemed like he’d really enjoyed himself when I picked him up. Wouldn’t want to use any other kennels in future. Thanks again! :)”

Put Her at Ease
“Took my dog to be groomed at Spuddy moo’s groom room. Fantastic job,and my dog was really happy to be there. Which is very unusual for her. She’s always been terrified of the groomers. I loved how Jess made a fuss of her when she went in, really put her at ease.”

4. Westfield Farm

Address: York Gate, Otley
Contact Details: 01943 873156
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Sat – 8 am to 12 pm, 3 pm to 6 pm
- Sun – 4 pm to 6 pm
Nearly every fur parent we spoke to raved about how happy their dogs were after a stay at Westfield Farm. And it’s not hard to see why.
For starters, the kennels are purpose-built, insulated, and well-ventilated, so your pets are comfy whether it’s summer or winter.
They flex a whole range of kennel sizes, too, so whether your dog is a tiny terrier or a hefty hound, there’s a spot for them. These kennels also get cleaned twice daily with pet-safe disinfectants.
But what truly seals the deal for us is the massive, 3-acre outdoor area. Field walks cost extra, though, so that’s one thing to consider.
The good news? If you’re not up for splashing out, your pup can still run in secure play areas up to five times daily.
Note, however, that Westfield is this list’s farthest facility from the city centre. The drive takes about 26 minutes.
The Staff Were So Lovely and Welcoming
“My Puppy Tilly went for a trial day today before her holiday in November.
The staff were so lovely and welcoming to both of us.
I collected her and she looked really happy, in fact didn’t want to get in the car but wanted to go back through the gate to see them all!
Thank you”

5. Carlton Boarding Kennels

Address: Carlton Hall Farm, Yeadon
Contact Details: 0113 250 5113
Operating Hours: Daily – 8 am to 10 am, 3 pm to 5 pm
For anyone looking for a well-established, wallet-friendly boarding option, Carlton Boarding Kennels is a no-brainer. They’ve been at it since 1979, offering solid stays all around.
It’s their heated, insulated, and tailor-made kennels that keep the pet lovers coming back. And like the last spot, these kennels can handle dogs of all shapes and sizes.
In addition, they offer daytime boarding, which is a boon for owners who just need somewhere for their dogs to stay during the day. The pick-up and drop-off options make it even more convenient.
What really sets Carlton apart, though, is their optional dry salt therapy. It’s a special treatment for dogs with respiratory or skin issues—something other names here don’t offer.
The catch? Getting a spot can be a bit of a hassle, as they’re often fully booked. Several clients have also raised concerns about the staff being rude and unenthusiastic.
Great People
“Excellent kennels. They have looked after my two dogs over a number of years and we have never had any issues. On collection the dogs have always looked happy and well cared for and the owner has always complemented them on their good behaviour… which is nice as they are both Staffy crosses and don’t always get approval from those that don’t know them.
I had them booked in for this summer but unfortunately my eldest has recently been diagnosed with cancer so could not have his vaccination boosters. I had to cancel my booking and the lady I spoke to couldn’t have been more understanding and sympathetic.
I can’t recommend Carlton highly enough. Great people with a love for the pets we entrust with their care.”
