Sink shots while sipping at the best pool bars in Leeds!
Our crew takes pub games very seriously. Shuffleboard, darts, axe-throwing…if there’s a way to turn a night out into a tourney of sorts, we’re game.
That said, pool is where we truly channel our competitive spirits. Nothing tops talking smack, sipping pints between shots, and pulling off a perfectly planned double kiss.
What’s more, Leeds has no shortage of pubs with pool tables. Here are our favourites!
Northern Snooker Centre
– From northernsnookercentre_leeds
Address: 92 Kirkstall Rd
Contact Details: 0113 243 3015
Operating Hours:
- Mon – 10 am to 12 am
- Tue – 9:30 am to 12 am
- Wed to Thu – 10 am to 12 am
- Fri to Sat – 10 am to 1 am
- Sun – 10 am to 12 am
Legends Steve Davis and Ronnie O’Sullivan have potted the black at Northern Snooker Centre. Not including it would be a facepalm moment.
Inside, you can duke it out on 17 American 9-ball tables and six UK 8-ball ones. Snooker wizards, naturally, will be spoiled by the 28 fully sized potting strips.
The 47-year-old venue won’t leave you famished and parched as well. Their iconic garlic chicken goes down well with the draught beers and summer spritz.
Tip: Avoid the 6 pm to 9 pm period if you want a less crowded game.
The Box
– From theboxbaruk
Address: 8 Otley Rd, Headingley
Contact Details: 0113 224 9345
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Wed – 12 pm to 11 am
- Thu – 12 pm to 12 am
- Fri to Sat – 12 pm to 12:30 am
- Sun – 12 pm to 11 pm
Our sports bar bug kicked off at The Box. Specifically, the obsession started with their two American, Sam K Steel tables, ace for precision play and friendly competition amped by 2-4-1 martinis.
We went there last March, and the prices were a bargain—£3 for 30 minutes, £4 if you played on a Friday or Saturday, and £10 as a deposit.
Energy-wise, it’s often electric, especially with numerous screens broadcasting intense sports matches.
Tip: If pool alone doesn’t cut it, try belting out tunes in their private karaoke room.
Brudenell Social Club
– From juanburro
Address: 33 Queen’s Rd, Burley
Contact Details: 0113 275 2411
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Thu – 12 pm to 12 am
- Fri to Sat – 12 pm to 1 am
- Sun – 12 pm to 12 am
Arguably Leeds’ most banging live music (live music leeds) venue, Brudenell Social Club is a head-bopping spot for pocketing the winning shot.
No bank-breaking shenanigans either. For just 50 pence a game, one of their Supreme Winner tables is yours to dominate. The Riley Snooker table is pricier, though it’s just £5 an hour.
Tip: You can play for free from Monday to Friday, before 5 pm.
East Leeds Snooker Centre
– From big_leigh_
Address: Sandleas Way
Contact Details: 0113 232 6046
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Fri – 11:4 am to 11:45 pm
- Sat – 11 am to 12 am
- Sun – 12 pm to 10 pm
Beyond dominating Leeds’ dart scene for over two decades, East Leeds Snooker Centre is also one of the city’s finest gaffs for a game of cue.
The number of Supreme Winner tables alone (four American, six British) should be enough to make you apply for membership. Of course, there are also snooker tables, 17 to be exact.
Sweetening the deal is their stocked bar, where Budweiser and Peroni’s bottles never run dry.
Tip: Prices change. Ring their digits for the latest fees.
Pinnacle Sports & Games
– From pinnaclesportsandgames

Operating Hours:
- Mon to Thu – 3 pm to 11 pm
- Fri – 12 pm to 12 am
- Sat – 11:30 am to 12 am
- Sun – 12 pm to 10 pm
A mate tipped us off that Pinnacle Sports & Games is mint for pool sharks, and turns out, he’s right. We spent hours on one of their five Sam Atlantic tables, which was consistently smooth without skimping on durability.
Plenty to do while we were waiting for our turn as well. Some played electronic darts, a few watched live footy, and most downed classic pizzas with either beer or cocktail.
Tip: Go for a group reservation if you want to compete in a tourney.
Roxy Ball Room
– From roxyballroom
Address: Grand Arcade, 9a Merrion St
Contact Details: 0113 467 2230
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Wed – 4 pm to 12 am
- Thu – 4 pm to 1 am
- Fri – 3 pm to 2 am
- Sat – 12 pm to 3 am
- Sun – 3 pm to 12 am
Roxy Ball Room’s brand of pool is a right madhouse. They aptly named it ‘Crazy Pool,’ as it’s a wacky cross between billiards and crazy golf.
Yup, that means you must work your way around crazy obstacles, like tunnels and loops, until you sink the shot. You can also sip Coronas or daiquiris for the true Roxy experience.
If you’re more of an American pool savant, though, the Boar Lane venue is the better fit. Four straightforward tables await your gang there.
Tip: Prices are cheaper from Sundays to Wednesdays.
The Library
– From library_pub
Address: 229 Woodhouse Ln
Contact Details: 0113 244 0794
Operating Hours:
- Mon – 12 pm to 1 am
- Tue to Sun – 12 pm to 12 am
Your college days would get better if you took trips to The Library—that is the pub sitting next to the University of Leeds’ main campus. Craft and cask beer overflow here (some as cheap as £3), and the wooden accents give the spacious hub a rustic feel.
Downstairs, it gets better. There’s a pool table away from the livelier upstairs section with HD screens and live music.

Contact Details: 0113 243 9546
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Thu – 12 pm to 11 pm
- Fri to Sat – 12 pm to 12 am
One of our beloved activities is clocking out and heading straight to the warm and slow-paced Toast Bar. Global beers such as Madri and Guinness make up their draught-heavy menu, while HD screens blast sports non-stop.
Pool on their two Supreme Winner tables is wallet-friendly as well, just 50p a game. You can even lob darts while waiting—which will likely be the case.
Tip: If your group consists of 24+ blokes, make sure to email [email protected] to get a spot.

Class drinks and wall-to-wall live games make The Brotherhood of Pursuits and Pastimes a hit among professionals in the city centre.
Inside, you’ll be in the thick of retro memorabilia and punters sipping classic libations, mainly margaritas and negronis.
As for pool tables, there are two here, each typically costing a mere £1 a go. Other than that, you can pick up a paddle and do rallies on the ping pong table.
Tip: Don’t forget to check their latest happy hour offers or discounts.

Operating Hours:
- Mon to Thu – 3 pm to 11 pm
- Fri to Sat – 12 pm to 12 am
- Sun – 12 pm to 11 pm
We love a haunt that’s both upbeat and chill—thus our frequent visits to Parkside Tavern. If we’re gasping, there are 18 lines of beer to down; if we need some fresh air, their rooftop terrace will freshen us up.
Even better, there’s a dedicated room for rounds of pool, so we never feel squished while pocketing. On top of that, their fully-sized American tables only cost around £4–£5 for 30 minutes.
Tip: Under 18s can tag along until 5 pm.

The playing conditions are also solid since everything is installed professionally, including the two big screens and seven flat screens, all broadcasting BT and SKY SPORTS. Dart lanes are on the books, too!

The highly interactive Boom Battle Bar has saved us from dull nights. It’s basically where we head for a bash full of spirits, cocktails, and beer—with pumping music to boot.
Games are its bread and butter, though, and pool is among the fan-favourites. Two American tables that can handle 1–6 players are on the menu, each setting you back £10 for a 45-minute game. What a steal.
Tip: They host corporate events and have sweet deals for crews.

The pool area carries the same easy-going vibe coursing through this converted warehouse bar. As a cherry on top, you can pause to play arcade games.
Tip: Head to their Insta to know which games they’re going to broadcast.

Merchant is for folks who are obsessed with food and pool.
The menu is a bit of the world and a bit of the local. Think pub staples, like battered fish and crispy wings, and international fare, such as katsu chicken and Thai curry.
Post-feasting, there are two full-sized tables to test your pocketing skills on, and usually, the bar sweetens games with £2.50 pints. The pool area also has a telly, so you can pot and watch footy.
Tips: Scope out their exclusive student deals before visiting. Pool is also free every Tuesday.
