The Best Wedding Photographers in Leeds Capturing Picture-Perfect Love

Communication Skills: We only went with photographers who know how to listen, understand your vision, and explain their process clearly.

Creativity: Photographers whose creativity brings moments to life, whether through candid shots, dramatic lighting, or unique angles, were prioritised. We made sure to pick names with portfolios rated highly by previous clients.

Experience: Only photographers with at least 5 years of experience entered the list. Naturally, those with more years under their belts earned extra points.

Empathy: You won’t find stiff or cold photographers here. We opted for people who create a comfortable environment and connect with everyone easily.

Cost Efficiency: Finally, we ensured prices are transparent and justified by the service quality.

Captured Our Day Beautifully

‘What a fantastic experience we have had with skl photography, from first contact via emails, booking then, organising our pre wedding photo shoot, and then to our special day. Simon and Rebecca are lovely down to earth people. They put is at ease, it does seem strange at first as were not a public affectionate couple. Our guests loved you we’ve had lots of comments about our fantastic photographers. They’ve captured our day so beautifully. As a plus size bride i was worried but i look beautiful, you captured lots of the day that obviously i didn’t see, there are lovely candid pictures as well as the formal ones in black and white and in colour. we were also luck enough to have drone footage too. You captured the true essence of our day. I cannot thank you both enough and i will recommend skl photography to everyone. Thank you both for an incredible experience.’

Attention to Detail Was Amazing

‘Peter was absolutely fabulous to work with. We met him at a wedding fair and he had so much knowledge of our venue. We knew just from chatting to him for a few minutes we would get on with him well (very important as we would be spending most of our day with him) and it’s so hard not to, he is so lovely and professional. We were so pleased with the outcome and quality of our pictures. He did an amazing job of not only capturing the formal pictures we wanted but also natural, candid shots of our guests! His attention to detail was amazing!Thank you Peter’

Made Us Feel So Comfortable and at Ease

‘Peter got recommended to us by a friend and he was brilliant from start to finish. Like all wedding packages we had an engagement shoot, neither my husband and I are the type of people who ’like’ having our photo taken so we were a bit nervous about having a photo shoot. He was fantastic – made us feel so comfortable and at ease and he was great with our daughter and dog who came along too. The wedding day came by and I can’t sing peters praises enough Despite the weather being terrible and all the photo opportunities pretty much gone due to this, plus having limited space indoors!! He still managed to get loads of images of our day and guests which are great. Thanks for everything Peter, would recommend to anyone.’

Founded in 2009, Dave Spink Photography knows how to turn genuine moments into art. Most clients we chatted with praised how this photographer’s natural, documentary-style shots brought their wedding’s intimacy to life.

Their wedding films are equally impressive—cinematic without feeling staged, with emphasis on heartfelt, candid moments.

In terms of service range, the company offers traditional and unique offerings. Think pre-wedding shoots, bespoke albums, high-res photos, and audiobooks.

Their distinctive touch, though, is having ‘Magic Mirrors’ on offer, which are interactive booths with customisable backdrops and personalised messages. But if that’s too pricey or just not your thing, traditional and 360-degree ones are available, too.

However, there are a few gripes to note: reports of less-than-friendly customer service and their Sunday closure.

Pros

  • Experienced
  • Documentary-style shots
  • Pre-wedding shoots available
  • Offers interactive magic mirrors
  • Strong focus on personalisation
  • Competitive prices
  • Extensive portfolio
  • 360-degree photo booths

  • Sometimes unfriendly service
  • Closed on Sundays

Worked Incredibly Well

‘We hired David Spink for our videographer at our wedding on 30.12.2024 and we couldn’t recommend them enough. Dave and Emma both attended and exceeded all expectations. They worked incredibly well with our photographer, working together to get the best shots for both our photos and videos. They were both kind and made us all feel at ease whilst making sure they captured our day the best they could. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting us on them either, noticing how seamless their work was. We would without a doubt recommend them!’

– V Binns, Google Review

A Vital Part of Making Our Special Day Complete

‘We couldn’t recommend Dave highly enough for the photography on our wedding day at Thorpe Park Hotel on 23rd August – Dave was professional, down to earth and made everyone feel completely at ease on what can be a pretty intense occasion! Dave had plenty of time for everyone and to take all the staged photos we wanted as well as plenty of gorgeous candid shots. He really knows his stuff and we honestly couldn’t be happier with Dave as our photographer. He was a vital part of making our special day complete! Thanks Dave!’

Address: 21 Tavistock Cl

Contact Details: 07950 241918

Operating Hours: Daily – 12 am to 11 pm

Website

Calling 123 Photography has been in the business since 2001. Their portfolio boasts creative shots, including ones that feature light drawings and dramatic fireworks against pitch-black backdrops.

They also offer unique themes, such as black and white or vintage wedding photography. It’s a retro-ish approach, sans the grainy, outdated effect.

Despite the ‘fixed’ themes, the process is still a team effort, as the clients we talked to mentioned. The team listens to input and offers their own stylistic recommendations, from poses to designs to incorporate into your albums.

It can be a challenge to lock them down, though, since their team is often in demand. Plus, there are no drone services, so don’t expect any aerial shots.

On the plus side, their prices are some of this list’s most budget-friendly, and they do slideshows, which are more affordable than pure videos!

Pros

  • Creative shots
  • Experienced
  • Alternative styles
  • Affordable
  • Client-centric approach
  • Cheap slideshow options
  • Wedding Industry awardee

All of the Photos Turned Out Beautiful

‘Where to start! From the moment we met Dan, we knew instantly that we were in the best hands. Dan was so professional and captured every moment of our special day. He managed to get photos of every single person who attended and included some beautiful family and extended family photos that we are so grateful to have. He has a vision like no other and we really enjoyed working with him on the day and trusting his process for the “fun” photographs (especially the bride squad in bed photos!!) All of the photos turned out beautiful and he was super quick to get the photos over to us and has accommodated us the entire way through. Thank you so much Dan, we’re so lucky to have had you on the day!’

– Jane Wade, Google Review

The photos turned out incredible, capturing every moment from tears to laughter and everything in-between. Dan was very easy going, discreet and gave great photo suggestions.
