Their fitters demonstrate that. Drawing from experience, Wayne and his crew typically arrive on time, are not salesy, don’t mind answering loads of questions, and finish the job according to schedule (around 1–2 hours per window).
The results are impressive as well, both on the practical and aesthetic fronts. My living room is noticeably 0.5°C–1 °C warmer without looking like an eyesore.
That said, they’re closed over the weekend. Most competitors operate until Saturday, with a few running daily.
High demand is another cause for concern. See, they’re a family-run biz, so the personnel is on the smaller side.
Range isn’t a problem, though; commercial and residential properties are covered. Plus, they can handle nearly 10 window types, including casement, bay and bow, timber effect, and bespoke windows, all of which are insured.

Rainbow Yorkshire’s competitive pricing draws numerous clients. Throw in the 10-year insurance guarantee, and it becomes obvious why they’ve been replacing windows for over 20 years.
Interviewees also had praise for the company’s NVQ-qualified fitters, saying they conduct things efficiently and clean up right after, which will always get bonus points for us.
They throw in multi-point Yale lock systems, too. The brand is considered one of the best around, so having it latched onto your windows isn’t a bad idea.
Additionally, they have plenty of RAL tones to work with, good news for those who value colour customisation.
We just wish they’d add a virtual showroom, since the physical one is in Horsforth. That’s nearly 30 minutes away from Leeds (by car).
Posting online prices, even just estimates, would also be a welcome touch. Some folks don’t like waiting for quotes.

After receiving a very reasonable quote and getting quick responses to various questions about the replacement windows we needed, we asked Rainbow to supply and fit for us. All the communication was first rate, and the fitting date arrived. Carl and Lee, the fitting team, got stuck in straight away and, after completely covering our carpets with protection materials, removed the old units and fitted the new ones. The front was completed well within the day, and the rear even quicker. Apart from the new windows, you wouldn’t know they had been there. The guys made sure we were happy with the install, and that was that. 5-star service.

The communication game of Hipco impressed us! Based on our tests, their office staff were detailed (especially quote-wise) and polite, a trait which extends to their on-site fitters.
Valuable credentials and paperwork aren’t a problem either. They have TrustMark’s seal of approval and provide services with a 10-year, insurance-backed guarantee for that peace of mind.
As for range, Hipco often replaces casement, sash, uPVC, tilt and turn, aluminium, triple-glazed, and bay windows. Pretty stacked if you ask us.
We also appreciate their flexible payment schemes, mainly the ‘pay-per-month’ and ‘interest-free’ setups. Some competitors don’t have these.
Just like the previous entry, however, their showroom is nearly a 30-minute drive from downtown Leeds. It was even under renovation last time we checked.
Moreover, they’re easily one of the most in-demand crews in the city. It’s best to book in advance.

Those who prize experience above all else might find Leeds Glass Windows unskippable. I mean, they have nearly 40 years in the industry as of 2025!
Residential and commercial clients both get sorted. What’s more, their glazing solutions cover patterned, security, decorative, and toughened glass, with extra in-house cutting and supply services for tradespeople or folks who need custom pieces.
The downside is that they close shop on Saturdays and Sundays, a bummer if that’s your only free time.
Prices are also a bit higher than usual, so make sure to call first for estimates. Advice is free.
Anyway, the slightly higher fees might not matter to those who value credentials more, but you’ll be happy to know that Leeds Glass Windows is CHAS-, FENSA-, and GGF-accredited.
In addition, their fitters can go inside. That means you can ring them up if your mirrors, tabletops, and other ‘interior glass’ items need some work.

When we rang up Leeds Double Glazing Repairs, it was the owner who directly picked up, which meant our team didn’t have to deal with a call centre-style of service or any middlemen. There were no call-out charges either.
Still, it’s their same-day solutions that made us look closer. This perk applies to most of their services, including window repairs (window repair leeds), window lock fixes, and glass replacement.
There’s one glaring drawback, though: they mostly focus on uPVC windows. Compared to the range of our other entries, that’s quite limited.
On top of that, their family-style setup may mean limited booking slots, particularly during peak periods.
The silver lining there? This firm has some of the most competitive prices around.
