Take the stress out of travel with the best travel agencies in Leeds!

Reputation: Only agencies with a solid rep entered our list. Glowing reviews were factored in, but we also did extensive research to ensure the reviews are legit and didn’t just come from their mums.

Experience: We went with agencies that have been around the block a few times, specifically those with at least 5 years in their resume.

Accreditation: No random blokes with a brochure here; we opted for agencies boasting recognised accreditation (ABTA and AITA).

Financial Protection: This list features agencies that provide financial protection for bookings so your money is safe if anything goes wrong, such as cancellations or company insolvency.

Transparency: We only picked agencies that are clear about their pricing, policies, and terms of service.

Communication: Agencies that offer excellent communication throughout the process, from the initial consultation to booking and beyond, gained our attention.

Cost Efficiency: We chose agencies that provide value for money without compromising on quality.

Range of Destinations: Agencies offering a wide variety of destinations were prioritised. Our picks have at least 2 major regions or continents in their scope.

Customised Packages: Finally, we highlighted agencies that can tailor trips to your taste—whether it’s adventure, relaxation, or something in between.

That dream trip to Bali or Cancun can quickly turn into a planning nightmare without a travel agency. You’ll be hopping between ten websites to get a B-tier flight, with a free snack that’s more cardboard than comfort and seats that’ll cost you an arm.

How do we know? Well, let’s just say we had to learn the hard way.

Thankfully, we got ourselves sorted the next time around with a great travel agency. We’ll share the best ones in the city to give you the same luxury!

How much do travel agencies in Leeds charge?

Travel agencies in Leeds typically take a commission ranging from 10% to 15% of the overall booking price. Note, however, this can vary based on the type of booking, the agent’s experience, and the specific travel package.

1. TUI Holiday Store

tui-holiday-store-logo

Address: Trinity Leeds, 2-4 Lands Ln

Contact Details: 0113 242 8818

Operating Hours:

  • Mon to Sat – 9 am to 5:30 pm
  • Sun – 11 am to 5 pm

Website

We’ve been using TUI for a good while now, and they’re spot on. For starters, they have been running for 10 years with wide-ranging services.

Our experience with their staff never led to migraines, either. So far, the travel experts we worked with have been patient, informative, and warm.

TUI also sorts out everything—flights, hotels, the lot—so all the stressy bits of travel are covered. Their reach is huge too, with around 120 destinations, plus cruises (cruise leeds) and pre-planned experiences.

What we appreciate most, though, is that they’re ATOL and ABTA-protected, meaning if anything ever went pear-shaped (not that it has), our money is safe.

TUI’s 24/7 helpline is also a gem. From small hiccups to full-on emergencies, they’re just a call away to help.

That said, they’re not perfect; a few customers have complained about their brochures not accurately presenting the actual trip and dealing with some snooty reps.

Pros

  • Wide service range
  • Experienced
  • Covers 120+ destinations
  • Stress-free booking
  • Offers full-package holidays
  • Offers cruises
  • ATOL/ABTA protected
  • 24/7 helpline
  • Has several branches

Cons

  • A few snobbish reps
  • Misleading brochures

Went Above and Beyond

“Absolutely fantastic service from Eletia at TUI Leeds! She went above and beyond! Working under her own initiative she solved our family holiday problem and saved us losing over £1200!!! She has made our family (and two teenagers) VERY happy. I can’t recommend any higher. Best Wishes”

So Quick and Easy

2. Constant Travel

Address: Unit 16a, Pavilion Business Park, Royds Hall Rd

Contact Details: 0113 430 0213

Operating Hours:

  • Mon to Fri – 9 am to 5:30 pm
  • Sat – 10 am to 4 pm

Website

For tailor-made packages, Constant Travel is a smart pick. Their 18 years in the game have been met with solid feedback.

The agency is also easy on the wallet, offering some of the best rates on this list. Even better, they’re big on deals; discounts on top spots like Cyprus and New York are a regular perk.

Adults also get their share of fun, thanks to Constant Travel’s adult-only holidays catering to niche interests.

The downside? They’re shut on Sundays and have shorter hours on Saturdays. Also, their focus is mainly on European and nearby destinations, so if you’re looking for something further afield, they might not be the best choice.

On the upside, they’re ATOL- and ABTA-protected, so peace of mind is almost a given.

Booking online is also a doddle, with transparent pricing and clear inclusions. And if you have any questions, their reps are just a call away.

  • Solid customer feedback
  • Affordable rates
  • Regular discounts
  • Adult-only holidays
  • ATOL/ABTA protection

  • Limited weekend hours
  • Limited destination list

Very Professional

“Have just returned from 2 weeks at the Athena Royal Beach. We have been many times before and each time we have had a great holiday. The staff are very professional and obliging, the food is good and the hotel is kept spotlessly clean. Special mention for helpfulness to Susanne on the front desk and George in the dining room. We have already booked again for next year with Constant Travel of Wakefield, have used them before and recommended them to family and friends in the past, very professional.”

– Fred Meakes, Google Review

Superb

“We have only recently returned from our sixth visit to the Athena Beach, and, as usual the stay was superb. All of the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The rooms are comfortable the weather in November was pleasantly warm enough to sit outside for breakfast and on the balcony to have lunch. Our seventh visit is already booked for June 2018.”

Trailfinders Leeds has been around since 1970 and has the accolades to prove it, including being one of the first IATA-licensed travel organisers and snagging 2018’s High Street Travel Agency of the Year.

Their services are just as impressive, offering high-quality, customisable packages that reach the world’s major regions, including the Arctic and Antarctica.

On top of that, Trailfinders is a no-brainer if you have cash to splash. They offer some seriously luxurious cruises and first-class travel options, alongside specials like overseas weddings or celebrations.

Their advanced booking system and experienced consultants also make finding the best deals and most efficient packages a breeze. This is good news for those with smaller budgets or little time.

The customer support could use some work, though; they’re tricky to get hold of, and email responses can take their sweet time. A few office reps have also been called out for lacking enthusiasm.

  • Experienced

  • Offers luxury options
  • Tailor-made services
  • Extensive destination list
  • Advanced booking system
  • Experienced consultants
  • Award-winning

Smooth and Stress-Free

“I’d just like to say a big thank you for our holiday to Thailand. The flights and transfers were so smooth and stress free. The hotels really nice and friendly staff and the trips out super enjoyable and fun. We loved our Bangkok exploration with Ken, cooking class and elephant sanctuary in Chiang mai and boat tour in Koh Samui. Will definitely be using Trailfinders again. And thank you again for sorting out a brill holiday!”

– Adam Squires, Google Review

No Issues

“I consulted with Trailfinders to book my dream trip to Japan this year.

The whole trip was expertly crafted to my wishes, focusing on the places I wanted to visit and was mostly self guided with a few tours booked in. I felt like I got the most out of my trip, everything went seamlessly, all my tickets were included, no issues whatsoever and all the hotels they booked for me were brilliant. I would highly, highly recommend and I’m already scoping my next trip with them.”

4. North America Travel Service

Address: The Kennedy Bldg, 48 Victoria Rd

Contact Details: 0113 243 0000

Operating Hours: Mon to Fri – 9 am to 5:30 pm

Website

North America Travel Service (NATS) had to make the cut. With over 45 years of experience and a positive reputation, it’s easy to see why they’ve been around for decades.

Just keep in mind that they’re all about USA and Canada excursions. If you’re eyeing spots like Asia or Africa, best to look elsewhere.

Despite their limited region coverage, NATS remains a winner with its diverse, tailored holiday options. Whether it’s a fly-drive, cruise, rail journey, motorhome trip, or motorbike adventure, they have your back.

The personal consultations are a bonus, with experts who simplify complex itineraries. And for extra convenience, they offer video calls or home-office visits.

NATS’ services also cover a trip’s most tedious parts. Think car rentals, flights, insurance, and even ATOL-related processes.

However, they’re closed on weekends, which could be a deal-breaker if Saturdays and Sundays are your only free days.

Pros

  • Experienced
  • Tailored options
  • Offers private consultations
  • Video/home-office visits
  • Comprehensive travel services
  • ATOL-protected
  • Budget-friendly rates
  • Easy to book
  • On-point brochures

Cons

  • Limited region coverage
  • Closed on weekends

Brilliant Service

“Once again a great trip to North America with brilliant service from North America Travel in planning a tailor made itinerary including flights, hotels and extras that enabled us to visit family in Massachusetts as well as experience Toronto and Niagara Falls. Your travel advisor gave us lots of options and good advice at the planning stage that added up to a fantastic holiday.”

– Stephen Vesse, Google Review

Great Service

“NATS have a wealth of knowledge and patience and are happy to taylor your holiday to your needs while offering suggestions and help. They are always on hand to answer questions and nothing seems to phase them. All in all a great service with a brilliant team.”

5. Hays Travel White Rose

hays-travel-white-rose-logo

Address: White Rose Shopping Centre, Dewsbury Rd

Contact Details: 0113 827 5451

Operating Hours:

  • Mon to Fri – 10 am to 9 pm
  • Sat – 9 am to 8 pm
  • Sun – 11 am to 5 pm

Website

Hays Travel’s biggest strength is its massive range of holidays and destinations. Whether you’re seeking a last-minute California escape or an all-inclusive Jamaica package, they have a getaway for you.

However, they’re the newest agency on this list, having opened just in 2017. If you’re after something with at least a decade of experience, Hays isn’t the right pick.

Not fussed about their age? Then you’ll love the ATOL protection and flexible payment plans, with interest-free monthly instalments on the table.

To top it off, their consultations are also adaptable—face-to-face or over the phone, it’s your call.

However, customer service is where Hays falls short. Clients have mentioned getting the wrong details about packages. Others have had issues with quotes. Either they didn’t receive them at all or had to wait far too long.

Prices can also be bank-breaking, though they do sweeten the deal with discounts now and then.

Pros

  • Wide holiday selection
  • Last-minute deals available
  • ATOL protected
  • Flexible payment plans
  • Interest-free instalments
  • Customisable consultations
  • Frequent discounts
  • Offers travel insurance

Cons

  • Slow quote response
    Relatively higher prices
