The Best Escape Rooms in Leeds That’ll Challenge Even the Brainiest of Blokes

Racing against the clock, fighting off claustrophobia, and cracking fiendish puzzles don’t scream ‘good time’—unless we’re talking about an escape room. Nothing says ‘perfect day out’ like a test of friendship that’ll have you side-eyeing your mates by the end.

All jokes aside, escape rooms in Leeds are typically boredom-proof. With astounding immersion and tough-as-nails challenges, they demand total teamwork to make it out in one piece, and once you do, the feeling is euphoric.

We’ve rounded up the best names below, along with some tips and tricks you’ll certainly need.

The spot has options galore too, each one a brain-bender in its own right. Besides the samurai room, top picks as of writing include Alice in Puzzleland and Blackbeard’s Treasure. Expect trippy tricks and tons of treasures to unlock!

For a post-escape cocktail (cocktail bars Leeds), head to The Escapologist, a steampunk-inspired spot with mostly accessible escape rooms. The range here is terrific, with the Frozen and Harry Potter-themed rooms as the faves, thanks to the inspiration and easy-to-medium difficulty.

However, if you’re after something that’s certainly not elementary, Sherlocked In is your best bet. Just a heads-up, though: it’s not wheelchair accessible, as there are crawling sections involved.

Tip: Check their party packages to customise your visit or next event.

Stuck in the Riddle’s option to play all four rooms at once is a total game-changer. Why? Because it lets up to 32 players join in a single round, turning a standard escape room into a full-on team effort.

Not in the mood for a 32-player showdown? No worries; you can also deal with just one room at a time. Cabin in the Woods is a brilliant start, with its slasher flick theme and jumpscares that’ll keep you on edge while cracking codes.

Tip: There are rooms here that are dark and uneven, so don’t wear high heels!

For a non-18+ option, Escape From Wonderland hits all the right notes—immersive and challenging but without the demons and blood. There’s also Christmas Quest, but with limited slots, you’ll need to book quickly—or stick to their regular lineup.

Tip: If your schedule is too tight, try their online escape games.

If you’re after a serious test, CSI: The Panic Room is a better buy. You’ll need to track down a murderer from a list of over 500 suspects, so you’ll really stretch your brain to its absolute limits.

Tip: Booking 9 or more games is cheaper than booking 4 to 8 games! To secure this deal, you’ll need to opt for their team-building options.
