That’s why I buy flowers when I can, and since most shops now have delivery, I can also send a beautiful arrangement to a loved one every now and then. Spreading the love and all that.

I’ve known about Floral Expression for a long time because they’re my family’s and some of my friends’ go-to florists for any occasion—weddings, funerals, anniversaries, graduations, you name it.
The selection of arrangements here is pretty sparse. There are only a few exclusive themes, and some options like exotic flowers or luxury roses aren’t available all the time.
Still, I like what they have to offer here. The floral arrangements are simple and rustic in a charming way. I also like how the colours of the flowers balance each other out. I can tell their florists have a good eye for colour.
For delivery, you can choose to set a future date or have the bouquet delivered on the same day (provided you ordered before 11 am). You can even book a national delivery, if you so choose!

The arrangements here are categorised based on occasions, so you don’t have to think hard about picking the right flowers yourself. I also like that they have lily-free bouquets, which are perfect for people who are allergic or sensitive to lilies.
Customers praise the excellent communication here. The staff always sends photos of the flowers before and during delivery, so customers know exactly what they’re getting.

I like the combinations of the floral gifts here. For example, you can get a bouquet and a bottle of Prosecco at the same time. Or you can include candles, diffusers, and body cream with your flowers.
Flower subscriptions are also available here, so you can get yourself a bouquet of flowers every month, every fortnight, or even every week!
They can deliver within and outside of Leeds and on the same day as the order or on a future date. The rates are also between £7 and £10, which I think is fairly reasonable.
That said, I’ve heard complaints about poor communication here, specifically about emails not being answered. Granted, this lack of communication usually happens during their peak days, but it’s still frustrating.

Arts and Flowers is an apt name for this particular flower shop because I do find their floral arrangements to be works of art. The florists have such a good eye for colour, so whether you want your bouquet pastel, bright, or neutral, the result is stunning.
I like that they have arrangement suggestions for different occasions. And if you’re gifting a bouquet to a romantic partner, you can add extra items like chocolates and teddy bears with the flowers.
Their funeral collection also allows you to customise your options. They can add bespoke keepsakes with the flowers, as well as wreaths, baskets, and other memorabilia.
They offer various delivery options, including same-day and national delivery. They can even do national same-day delivery, which is a pleasant surprise!
The pricing here is also pretty good. The local delivery, including same day, is only £5, which is one of the cheapest rates I’ve found so far.
However, some clients have told me that they find some of the staff rude and even judgmental. One person shared that the saleswoman told the customer’s teenage daughter that she couldn’t afford funeral flowers.

Petals and Stitches is situated in the heart of Chapeltown, near Leeds’ city centre, which is a great location. There’s a bus stop nearby, so travelling to and from this shop is going to be a breeze, even for first-time visitors.
What makes this shop stand out is the fact that they offer free next-day delivery, so long as you make the order by 12 pm and the address to be delivered is within a five-mile radius of the shop.
The customer service deserves to be praised. Many customers told me that the staff handled their bouquets with such care and sensitivity, which is a thoughtful gesture, especially for people who are getting sympathy flowers.
The one downside to this shop is that the array of floral arrangements is lacking. They only have a few themed bouquets, but I do think they look beautiful, so this isn’t too much of a deal-breaker.
