Homeowners who’ve hired Northern Deckline raved about the company’s customer service. Some bits they complimented were the prompt quotes, non-pushy reps, informed answers, and valuable tips, chiefly on how to work around your budget.
Clients even get to inspect their previous work closely without travelling, thanks to the 360-degree virtual tour feature of their portfolio. All valuable specs and procedures are documented there.
The weekend closure, however, is an obvious weak point. Most picks here operate daily or six days a week.
You should also expect some waiting. Similar to the first entry, Northern Deckline gets a steady flow of clients.
The upside is that once you get them, the project rarely extends to a week. In fact, clients said the installations often wrap up in 1–3 days.
We got to hand them extra scores for politeness as well. The fitters don’t mind answering questions while working.

Polite, Punctual, Efficient
Absolutely amazing job! The team from start to finish were great, they were efficient coming out to provide the quote for the work, really explained (without being patronising!) the breakdown of the costs, built the plans exactly to our specifications (even building around existing trees we requested be kept!), stayed in communication the whole time, provided reasonable timescales which were kept to, and the price that was quoted was the price that I paid; no sneaky last minute charges or price hikes! Then the team who completed all the labour managed to rip out and take away the old decking, and place the new one that was twice the length of the original, so quickly and efficiently they must have never stopped the whole time! And what they’ve laid is clearly clean, quality and professional. The whole team were polite, punctual, efficient, and unbelievably tidy – you’d never even know they were there! I cannot thank them enough for their hard work, they’ve absolutely transformed an unusable space and it looks amazing, we love it, and intend to for years to come! It’s only right that RJW Landscapes crack a spot on this list. After all, having 20-plus years in landscaping is a solid indicator of quality.
That experience is evident in their composite decking solutions as well. A recurring feedback is how well Richard and his crew stick to the schedule, even for projects involving complex designs or irregular shapes.
Typically, there’s no waiting an entire week for a detailed quote, either. Most clients received theirs within 24 hours, with reasonable figures as the deal-sweetener.
Their timing isn’t always spot-on, though. We’ve received complaints about abrupt schedule changes, which can be vexing if your timetable is packed.
In addition, their callback speed needs some work. Some clients aren’t satisfied with simply reading emails.
The silver lining is that once you lock them in, the work gets done quickly, around 2–3 days, as per previous clients.

Price was the biggest factor that drew me to Deckz Composites. Their rates are reasonable for Leeds, and some even reckon they’re cheaper than most competitors, especially when the sales roll in.
I was also sold by the range of colours and styles on offer. Fortiz, Moderno, and vintage are in stock, featuring various shades such as graphite grey, chocolate brown, charred cedar, and arctic birch.
Now, here’s the neat part: I got to order one free sample, which let me see and feel the material before fully committing.
The website calculator also made it easier, since I just had to enter the length and width of my outdoor living space to know how many boards were needed.
That said, Deckz is more of a supplier than a fitter. Those not confident with DIY installation might need to phone other pros, which can be costly and inconvenient.
